Loosely based on an Albert Schweitzer prayer. Hear our humble prayer God, for our best friends, the animals.
Save the animals wherever they may be. Ease the suffering of those that are hunted, lost, abandoned or used and exploited by humans. Comfort the sick, frightened and hungry. For all the animals that are put to death, stay with them and protect their souls as they cross over.
We pray that each soul enjoys your mercy and kind love.
For those of us that work with animals, we pray, please direct us to express hearts of compassion, gentle hands and kind words. Make us true friends to all animals and let each and every one feel the love and light that is you, God. Thank you.
