Ahh...the flow of creativity 7/23/2004 2:50:25 PM
And so I was right...this could become an addiction! The creative drive is such a personal thing, is it not? Some of us can just write our hearts out every day while the inspiration for others comes and goes in waves...unfortunately, I seem to belong to the second group!!
I am so affected by emotions...and poetry (be it good or bad!!) allows me to express myself in a way that no other form of communication can. I spend so much time doing technical detailed writing, research, and counseling that when I do have that 'flow,' that poetic current running through me, I am speechlessly elated! It is a connection with the divine, a deep love of sorts...and when that energy funnels in I must allow it to go out in whatever shape it may.
And so...when I am in love, or falling in love, or even thinking about love...I am in a state of torturous ecstasy, a state of wonder, desire...and fear, certainly that! It is exciting, is it not? Love connects me more powerfully to the universal...and despite the pain and personal tragedies in my past, my favorite quote still remains:
Love conquers all things; let us too surrender to love...
