Between all of the hurricanes and now being ill, I can't help but think about how lucky I am to be able to withstand it all and not crumble...lol...and having a trip to Ireland to look forward to here in a few short weeks must be helping too! Well, that is, if I make it since the hurricanes have caused tremendous financial burden over the past month...alas, we hear all about the support, etc that we are getting here in Florida but I haven't seen any of it although I lost over a week and a half of work, a refrigerator and freezer full of food (half of it specialized food for my autistic son's GFCF diet - it costs a fortune and half of it is imported!) and some minor damage to my home. Albeit many others have lost so much more, my point is that despite all of our losses, the bills keep coming and the companies and creditors really don't give a fig. Unless we've lost a life or our entire home, no one cares. The emotional trauma alone is enough for many of us to cope with.
So it is hard to find time to write with life always biting at my heels and laughing...I've found that it helps to laugh back and just struggle on...
