I recommend “The Audacity of Hope”, not because of what Senator Obama is, but for the promise of what he could be. To say the book is eloquently done would be an understatement … to say it reflects totally this man’s heart, soul, and mind … would be an overstatement.
As a registered Republican, caressed by the sun, I begrudgingly purchased my copy of The Audacity of Hope … thinking I would suffer revulsion from another starry-eyed ideologue. To my surprise and delight; I was entertained, energized, and enlightened … by this exquisite read.
Let me say to those standing behind the curtains of demagoguery and political ideology: “It will be to your advantage to keep an open mind, for there is much to discover about this charismatic politician”.
There are some grey areas in his views which have not been tested in the politics of reality. Consequently, it might be audacious of me to surmise he is a unique politician … not afraid to speak his mind and stand his ground for principles in which he believes. However, after reading this inspiring and marvelous book … it is my wish, it is my dream … it is my hope.
