Today is just about the middle of November. A nice month so far here in Texas with the leaves just starting to turn colors, the weather deciding if it'll be hot or cold and all the McDonalds serving McRibs again.
Fall is a wonderful time, one that I usually look forward to, but the last few years have seen more unpleasentness than good things. This year's no different. I lost my job last monday out of the clear blue sky.
Granted, when one is a contractor, on a year to year contract, you live with the realization that you could lose that contract at any time. However when one has been at the same place for almost 9 years, and is one of the most experienced people there, you don't believe it when you're told 'budget cuts'.
Ah well. I'll find something else. Maybe I can find some freelance writing jobs.
