"A poem is never finished, only abandoned."
I ponder this statement as one who has abandoned many poems.
Of course, there are an infinite number of ways to begin a poem, and once started, an infinite number of directions to go with it, so it stands to reason, that there would be an infinite number of stopping points, which obviously means that you can only abandon it at one of these points. (LOL), and never finish it. I suppose the same could be said of many endeavors. Of course, we don't have poetic license for these other endeavors, do we?
