What are these days of might and money? 1/19/2009 10:52:54 AM
You are not helpless, if you have a good heart and two cents only, one you can share, the other spend righteously.
What do they say about us?
Do they infringe on our liberty,
On our wellbeing,
Our environment,
Our political system,
Our discourse,
Our way of life,
Our future, (think about this one)
The least the among us,
How have these changed from the times of Jesus?
Or have they?
Are you waiting for someone else to change them?
Or are you actively participating?
Do you think that going to church, will help others?
That your prayers wrought with love and thought but not in action,
Will benefit his teachings, and him accepting you?
If while you pray, that homeless man is still sitting frozen and hungry in front of your church door,
Do you think your prayers are heard by him, and the Lord?
Prayer meetings two times a week, or any other such doings, are they helping you, or your neighbour?
I bet if they’d help you much more here, or at the gates, if your neighbour stands there with you.
I was taught, that by faith alone, you shall know the lord, yet I believe faith without acting upon it,
Constantly leaves one spirit undernourished, and of course those to whose benefit it might enrich in His name! His teachings I think, in short would say, think of others and you’ll think of you, help others…
Love others…. Do it every minute of the day, and support those that do, share your spiritual wealth, and your monetary wealth, one big way to vote for his cause, make it the right one, let your love shine among all, be they human or our creature kin, all that is in your power every minute of the day.
We spend billions of dollars a day, from groceries to everything else, check where the stuff is from, how it’s made, and put a tithe in the basket of the poor man beside you, or at his shelter etc, check if that creature that gave its life for your supper table was not made suffer in factory farms or God knows what, that leather you buy, how was it derived, etc, etc, the labour for the working man, and where, was it fair\? You have if you follow the goodness in your heart immense power, no you need not to vote only every four years, and depend on someone else to do it, your actions, the attitude you bring when you spend your hard earned dollar can move mountains, help those that want to move them in his name, I think HE would like that, don’t you?
