Recently I downloaded a program with a toolbar included. Nothing that I haven't done a zillion times on the net. However this time the toolbar was infected with Backdoor Optix Pro.1: a real nasty little trojan that allowed a hacker to pretty much stop half of the microsoft components on my computer. He destroyed my d drive backup so that the computer could not be repaired. This also left Microsoft's Word processor as an editing tool only. Nothing can be saved now in doc form. So Author's beware and be careful and scan everything before opening. New Computers are expensive but common sense is free. Use and keep up to date a virus protector. TIP: Many are free.
