While listening to the pastor's sermon on yesterday he said, "Decisions can take you out of God's will but never out of his reach." The decisions can be yours or someone else's, and those decisions can take you out of God's will. We find ourselves outside the will of God when we speak contrary to His will, when we live contrary to His will, and when we respond contrary to His will. And eventhough we are acting/doing contrary to His will, we are never out of His reach.

Jonah's decision to be disobedient and flee from God landed him in the belly of the fish, but he was not out of the reach of God. The decisions of others landed Daniel in the lion's den and the three Hebrews boys in the firery furnace but they were not out of the reach of God. Eventhough someone else made the decision to harm them, God meant it for their good.

Our decisions and those made for us by someone else can have severe consequences. But remember this."God's arm is long enought to reach into the mouth of a lion or the belly of a whale. If you but ask, God will roll up his sleeves and meet your meeds>"(God's Little Answer Book, 1995)

One of my favorite scriptures tell us that, "All things happen for the good to them who love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose."
