What are you THINKING? 2/17/2008 7:30:44 PM
The Bachelor Party must become a thing of the past for Christian Men. Imagine this!
You're the groom to be on your last night of "freedom"! Your friends have promised you an evening to remember. SO, you join them as they take you to a local establishment featuring "adult entertainment". Your best man generously tips the bar and a steady supply of "booze" flows to your private VIP room.
You can't help but to perk up a little as your entertainer enters the room. As you try to maintain focus through the haze and mental fogg of your "buzz" you realize that she is intently rubbing against you, and you find it hard to resist the natural urge to touch.
More of the same takes place, and you see your friends taking "favors" from other entertainers who have arrived. You're not sure when they came in.
Finally, it is time to leave and you arrive at home smelling of smoke, alcohol, and the massage oil that has been rubbed from the entertainers into your clothing. Too inebriated to get undressed, you collapse onto the bed at 3:30 AM on the day of your wedding.
After your best man awakens you and helps you clean up there is the mad dash to get ready in your tuxedo. What's with all the buttons and clips?! You arrive in plenty of time to enjoy a few laughs and last moments with the rest of the groomsmen before it's showtime.
So, you walk out to the front of the altar with your best man right behind. The music playing now is nothing like that which was playing last night, but something about the reflective nature of the music causes your mind to wander...even as your bride appears at the entrance to the pavilion in all her glory. Whose breasts was I holding last night? What was her name? A smile spreads across your face. Your mother-in-law thinks it's because you saw how beautiful your bride was when she came in.
As the minister drones out his advice and meanders in stories designed to foster respect for the virtues of marriage, your mind still wanders to images from last night. Images that cannot easily be forgotten. Your daydream is disturbed as the minister calls you to attention and the repeating of your vows. What's her name again?
And, then, all of a sudden you hear "Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Mr. and Mrs...." "You may now kiss your bride." This part is easy. You lift the veil and behold your wife's face for what seems like the first time. Her passionate kiss conjures up another picture from last night and you quickly open your eyes as the crowd whoops and cheers!
You are finally jarred to reality by your wife's contagious smile and the firm grip of her hand in yours. The most important ceremny of your life has just happened.
