33 new poems...

Some thoughts on my new selection of poetry and a course on writing I am taking now. Wow! Have I learned an awful LOT! Here's a few tips:

Hey, come right on in...I've been thinking about you.
How have you been?
Well, I've been taking a course offered by The Learning Company...
That company that puts out courses on DVD or audio...University level teaching at a fraction of the cost...
hey, the course I'm taking now is 24 class lectures each about 30 minutes long, by a world-class professor! Man alive, is this stuff GOOD!!! I think it's going help me to write better poetry and short stories.
How about you? Do you like to write, or read, or do both?

I have the cover of my new book finished, and just tweaked it, so now I am even more excited at how it looks.
My niece Faith has cancer...the Lord is really helping her deal with it, and she is receiving Chemo (chemical) treatments over in Burlington Vermont, at the children's Hospital.
Well, she asked me to teach her to fly a kite last July, and I did. She got the kite up really high, and she was giggling and squealing with delight and I was so proud of her! I took some photos, and then a few weeks later she got a fever that would not go away, and after being sent to Burlington, she learned she has Leukemia.
Wow.
I couldn't believe it! she had just been running all over flying a kite. Normal 6 year old.
Anyways, I'm dedicating my new book to her, and to children with cancer. So I put one of the photos of her flying her kite for the first time on my cover.
Wha! You just never know. I'm not going to sugar-coat it and say it has been easy for her. However, I will say that the Lord has carried her on Eagle's wings. We are so grateful to the Lord for His mercy in all of this.
I love her so MUCH. To the moon and back and again.
So, this will be a special book. I've published three books so far, but this one is very personal.
