A bit about what's happening in my life, my writings and books I am currently reading...
Well hello! Do come in and make yourself at home.
I am relaxing here in my comfortable neck of the woods, here in what is known as the "north country" wilderness. Snow flakes are floating lazily to take their places on the mounds already piled all over the yards, sidewalks, roads and roof-tops visible from my window. Brrr. Chilly too.
My newest book "Early Works" is done except for some photos and a bit of my historical narrative which I have decided to include. Very soon, it will be available on AuthorsDen. I guess I could give the folks here a peek at the cover. The rest of the world will have to wait.( I'm smiling as I tap out that last line.)
My other books have been selling steadily for the past decade since I first began sharing my writing with the world at large, but it occurred to me one day, 'Why don't I collect all my best writes and make them available under one cover?' That was after I had published "SEASONS" and was praying about what, if anything, to produce after that creative endeavor.
Two other books were in the planning stages, but I have decided not to finish them. They were mostly historical fiction, but I didn't have the time. Lord is in charge, not I.
I have been reading a book called "The Plant Paradox" by a world renowned Cardiologist. I have always been absolutely fascinated in how our Creator designed and made our body to function. My curiosity knows no bounds. How about you? Do you still have an insatiable appetite?
In the book, you get to see how crucial our Digestive system really is, and what our modern diet does to sabotage it, AND how to fix it! So, while it does delve into the science, and enable you to understand how what we eat affects how we feel and live, it also shows us practically HOW to fix a LOT of our health issues, in simple ways. And I'm doing that.
Finally, I have been reading Ecclesiastes ( by King Solomon of Israel) for several weeks now. Amazing how a man that had such immense wealth, and privileges, could go through the SAME agonies and sufferings that all the rest of us endure! The core of reality, and our human experience, centers around a terribly misunderstood concept- a spiritual concept- called "Love". That's why so many of my poems are about aspects of Love. As the Lord illuminated me, by His Holy Spirit, through His Written Word, I try and express the truth He reveals, through my poetry.
