The Wreck (continued) 2/22/2008 6:10:40 PM
This is first day of the rest of my life. I was suppose to be at school with my daughter that morning for a cheerleading event. My husbands Dad came and got me. He drove me to the school, where I was suppose to be. Sitting in the stands, my head began to throb. I couldn't hardly open my eyes. My head hurt so bad. My back hurt some down low. I told my daughter that I had been in a car accident. She was worried but, could see that I was alright. My father-in-law took me home, after the Cheerleading event. My back and head hurt bad enough, that I called where I worked. I was a Nurse at the time. So, I called our Senior doctor. Our Senior doctor thought that I would be alright. That night I went to the E.R. at approximately 3 a.m. X-rays were done and I seen the doctor. Nothing was seen on x-ray.
On Saturday morning 10/17/96 I went to work. My back was hurting so bad that I cringed at the thought of anyone touching me. Sunday and Monday I didn't have to work, so I thought that would give me time to get better. Tuesday morning I went to work. The whole time I was there I hurt from my head to my feet, from my back hurting. I kept my eyes closed most of the time. The sun hurt my head. Dr. P came to check on me, in the Doctor's lounge. I had to go lay down, after only working a short while. He got me an appointment with a Neurologist in a nearby town. The next day, when I got to the Neurologist, the first thing the lady said was; "sign this paper so that we can get paid." Not how are you feeling toady? Not, how do you feel sitting up?
