They give everything including their lives! Being a veteran of a wars should show us why peace is so necessary! I am a Vietnam Veteran, I have seen much blood shed and many people dead and you wonder sometimes is that the price of right and wrong and Freedom? At other times soldiers don't even know what they are fighting for except for the love of country and our way of life! As an American often called an African American, the American way of life isn't that bad. What people must understand about that word African American, it means a couple of things to me. One is the land of my Ancestry in Africa, and the land of my personal nativity is the United States of America! To be specific Detroit, Michigan, that makes me an American and no additives. I am an American citizens guaranteed all rights and privileges under the Constitution of the United States of America, no more no less! My first allegiance is to God, family, and country! God plan is to love Him, God is Love! Pursue peace, love your brothers ans sisters. Stand for the strong and stand with the weak for righteousness sake, and God goes before us in all that is good righteous, and just! So this Memorial Day as I salute all soldier of war past and present whenever they may be at in the World, thank you for your service. The same attitude that we have for war let us use that same attitude and energy to pursue peace, and God bless America!
