Social Security Social Security is supposed to be there when you need it. Ha, not true.
I have a sibling that has been in the hospital since Jamuary and even though he has paid into social security he has yet to be approved for any benifits. The man is dying and he still can't get any benifits. The hospital where he is staying doesnt want him to die there so now they're trying to get the family to move him to a nursing home. Isnt the hospital where most people go when they're really sick, or have I missed something. Nursing homes won't take him because he has no insurace, so what are we supposed to do with him? he's much too ill to bring him home. His team of doctors tell us he is in the dying stages but still they keep giving him medicine to keep him alive. As power of attorney when do I say enough is enough.
