This is great, I finally found my blog and how to use it. I see that AD is still agitated about the election and caught up in all the "overstated doom" that is supposedly lurking in our future due to the outcome. These are difficult times, and I don't think a different President would have made much difference. The majority in the House and Senate would not have supported the other guy, anyway. Bottom line, the same people buy out the two major candidates. The big businesses gives a lot of money to both of the candidates so they will have their bases covered no matter who wins...pretty tricky, huh? All that aside, it would be nice if a little peace could start here. We all seem to feel that governments are wrong to "war" and for not being able to bridge their gaps with diplomacy and talking it out, yet we are guilty of the same crimes. Peace will come one person at a time teaching by example, not by everyone holding fast to their personal beliefs and not understanding, that no matter if we agree or not, we are all stuck on this ship together. If we don't work together we will all meet our end as our ship sinks into the briny deep. We are all multi-faceted people with much more about us than our politics. Why can't we just accept each other on another level where we can find a common ground? Why can't we all try to write our poetry and leave the name-calling and finger pointing to the children, who don't have the heart to forgive, and move forward? I have yet to meet anyone in this lifetime that I agreed with 100%. I just don't delve into the areas of conflict with them if their friendship is important to me. Why force the issue and spend the next umpteen years saddened by the loss of a friend over a difference of opinion. We are all adults and God help us if we can't find a way to live as individuals in a peaceful manner. The inability to do that will say more about our future than who our leaders are.
