A Knack for numbers #2 2/20/2014 6:08:49 PM
One hundred! It’s a big number when talking about books sold in one quarter. It’s also how many copies of Survival Instincts sold since its debut on black Friday — more than any other new book that I have published. Small numbers can be good, too. Take one, for example. Did you know that we at Authors Den are the No. 1 fastest growing on line site where Authors and Readers meet? ….391,000 plus Authors strong and growing.
At this rate, there’ll be half a million authors here by 2020.
Now, imagine if each author commits to buy and read at least one book written by another author in here, that will be fantastic because when you read a book and truly enjoy it or learn something from it, you are very likely to talk about it to others in your world, and that will greatly impact sales.
How about two? That’s the average number of New books sold daily by the average author in the 3rd Quarter of 2013.
Big or small, these numbers and all the other numbers that I am not privy to, are quite impressive.
