A baby’s love is freely given.
A baby represents the freedom of hope, love, and happiness. During my nine months of pregnancy thoughts ran through my mind: I wonder what you will look like, will you have your daddy’s dimples, how it will feel to cuddle you in my arms, the physical changes that will take place each month. There is so much I don’t know, and yet I already know that I will love you with all my heart. Pregnancy starts out like the flutter of a butterfly’s wings … and I smile as my heart fills up with love and joy, because I know my son or daughter is moving around inside of me. I can’t wait to see you, to kiss you, to hold you in my arms … to let you know that you’ll always be safe and loved with me. I can’t wait to be your mommies, to sing you a lullaby, rock you to sleep, or watch your little hand as you hold my finger for security, feeling safe as I am by your side. I’m so glad you’re here, so I can give you all the love in my heart that I’ve been waiting to share with you.
One minute you’re awake, and the next minute you’re sound asleep. When you’re asleep…what are you dreaming about? My dreams are about my children and my husband, whom I love with all my heart and soul. I want to be able to provide my children with everything they’ll ever want and need. All I need is to see the smiles on their faces. Their smiles of joy give me all I need.
Life is meaningless if you can’t share it with the ones you love. The bond between mother and child is stronger than anything on the face of this earth. It’s everlasting. A child’s love for his parents lasts eternally. I never knew that a child would be capable of opening my eyes to see the world in a whole different light. I never knew that a child could show me how to live my childhood all over again. When you say “mommy,” my heart melts. One day you’ll leave my arms when you learn how to crawl, and you’ll explore the world around you. Then you’ll come back to me, so I can take care of you, to love you, and to make all your worries and booboos go away.
One day my baby will grow up and I will have to let my child go to explore the world on their own, but my children will always love me and carry my love and memories in his heart forever.
