Well I just wanted to share my news and say Good Morning.
All have a wonderful Sunday and just sit back and relax a bit, afterall, the weeks work is done. This was the weekend of the annual Golden Sweet Potato Festival, which is basically a Fall Festival celebrating the end of the harvest.
Even with the economy down so low, we had a great turnout. The people were plenty, the food was plenty and the memories were, well, some were just breathtaking, and the competition in the photography contest was awesome. When I saw some of the photos mine were going up against this year I just knew I was history, but miracles do happen and I managed to pull 2 out of five to win frames. One won Reserve Champion and one won Most Unique, so there ya go, all in all it really was a great weekend and my harvest came in, in abundance. I am blessed.
Also I was approached to possibly do a calendar for Pet Rescue, which will (not pay much, like nothing at all) give me a foot in the virtual door for pet photography which is what I want to do anyway. Lets face it, most anybody can take a picture of a kid, because they naturally speak our language and if (most of the time) you tell them to sit or hold their heads a certain way, they will usually do it, even if it is after the fight, but I like to capture the inner glamour of an animal, even if that animal is a 13 ft. alligator. They really are more photogenic than one would believe.
