When you start tweeting on Twitter, the easiest thing to do is just Tweet statements to the world. However, to make it interesting for others to follow you and to get the most out of Twitter, it's best to tweet to other individuals.
Here are some of the types of tweets:
1. Regular Tweet: in this tweet,you tell others what your are doing or relate some interesting fact about your topic.
Example:
When blogging, it's good to include a picture with your post to grab the reader's attention.
2. Tweet with website: If you find a particularly interesting website, send it out to your followers by including the URL in your tweet.
3. Tweet with a picture. Go to Twitpic.com and sign in with your Twitter address. Upload a picture and put a caption on it. The caption will become your tweet and the URL of the picture will be included in the tweet.
4. Reply: Reply to the tweets of others that interest you. Some will answer, some won't. But it's a good way to show your interest in others.
5. Retweet: When you see a tweet you particularly like, retweet it to your followers. They may enjoy seeing it too.
