It Is Puppy Boot Camp with Momma Vickie!! My new pack member Pearl is learning her skills she will need for her Fields Trials
she will eventually be signed up for.
And for those who don't know… Field Trials are a gaming sport out in the fields
where the dogs are sent out by their handler to flush out pheasants for the gunner.
I will get into this in more depth later as I am also doing a book with her on it,
which will include photos of her, my boys & yours truly...
She is phenomenal!! She is fearless...okay aside from the puppy teething...she plows
into the clover fields like there is no tomorrow. I can’t see her, but I can see her
movements of the clover. She is already a champion in my eyes...but of course...
She "hups" hupping is a command to sit in front of the handler, which is me of course.
She is now able to get up on the couch & love seat. She thinks she is the Queen Bee
here & she is...well soon enough anyway, since the females actually rule the males.
Right now she is a little 11 lb. fur ball of annoyance to my boys for the most part
because she wants to chew on them & play alpha female.
The Coyotes creeped me out a little bit yesterday morning as I called Luke from the
clover field which he had wandered to far from me. I whistled for him which I don’t
like to do that early in the morning (6 a/m) and he came but the Coyotes were in a
tizzy & yappin & howling. I don’t think a Coyote would want to tangle with him,
but a pack would I am sure especially if they are with pups in there den...
Oh did I forget to mention the best part of Field Trials & all those Pheasants? The
pheasants are salvaged & eaten, I like to make Pheasant Noodle soup-which I must
tell you taste 100% better than Chicken Noodle...
