Sunny Solar at the Great Barrier Reef I am very excited - found a book - "Sunny Solar at the Great Barrier Reef" I had written and illustrated for children in the 1980's on the internet for Aus$30 - and it is now 'rare and collectable"!
In 1981 I published, with the Queensland Cancer Fund, a series of childrens books about taking care when playing in the sun. A donation from every book sale went to the Cancer Fund. I had a large 'Sunny Solar' character who appeared on childrens TV shows and entertained the kids at shopping centres and hospitals. Great fun was had by all while getting the sun care message accross.
Now I still have a few left and would be happy to send to anyone interested Aus$10 free post - they are soft cover and slightly discoloured on the inside cover -but they are old! They are educational and are for children 2 to 5 years and were in all the Queensland kindergartens and preschools many years ago.
I can email a photo and some of the inside pages so you can see how bright and colourful they are.
