In the tech world, January means one thing: the annual Consumer Electronics Show, and books cannot be left out of the loop. For many, January means new resolutions, new gym memberships and a healthy line-up of college football games. But, in the tech world, January means one thing: the annual Consumer Electronics Show.
Some of the brightest minds from around the world came together to participate in the event held in Las Vegas last weekend.
I was blown away by the quality of the developers and the applications that they produced.
Many of the very creative applications demonstrated were developed by women.
There was this app called SafeNecklace which is capable of sending an alert if a kid on a school trip wonders away beyond a given perimeter.
This got me thinking about developing an application that would prompt you to read a book, select a couple of books that would interest you, and then read excerpts of the books to you as you relax.
