Mid-May
Spring fishing has slowed down with most species entering the post-spawn phase making catching them difficult.
Dove and early Teal season is still over three months away. What is a duck hunter to do? I have already mended what needed mending, repaired what needed repairing and bought an additional 4 dozen decoys that were on sale (as if I even needed them, but hey, they were on sale.)
All I can do is train my dogs to keep them in shape and wait. And wait. And wait.
