Black Lives Matter 12/14/2015 6:02:31 PM
The widening racial divide in the U.S. during the Obama years.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
"Black Lives Matter" is a catchy, bumper sticker slogan with which I completely agree. The problem is that Black lives don't seem to matter much to Blacks. Black on Black crime is abysmal as substantiated by Department of Justice and FBI statistics. There are more Blacks shot by Blacks over a typical weekend in Chicago than have been unjustly shot by White police throughout the U.S. during the past decade. They have the highest murder rate, the highest abortion rate and the highest infant mortality rate. They also have the largest proportion of single-parent households (absent fathers). They make up 12% of the general population and well over 50% of the prison population. White racism has little to do with any of these pathetic statistics. The vast majority of Blacks in prison are there because of crimes committed against their fellow Blacks and convicted by testimony supplied to the police by other Blacks.
There will never be an honest debate on racism in America until these issues are honestly confronted...by Blacks. Money-grubbing frauds like Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton have done more to retard the progress of Blacks than anybody whoever put a white sheet over their head. They are egomaniacs solely interested in promoting their own well-being. Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams & Shelby Steele are intellectuals that just happen to be Black and whose opinions deserve attention. Unfortunately, the mainstream media (CNN, MSNBC, etc.) are not concerned with truth. They're concerned with making money. Anderson Cooper, a pampered and spoiled child, gets paid $10,000,000 a year with a personal net worth of over one hundred million dollars. So many bogus journalists these days are not nearly as interested in reporting the news as they are in being the news but, that's for another blog for which I'm sure my few fans are waiting anxiously with bated breathe on pins & needles.
Let's hope that the time comes soon when Black lives matter more to Blacks than they do now!
