Hauling the Mail
It’s kind of fun knowing there is someone rich enough to believe he can say what he wants, when he wants to, and direct his blather at whomever he damn well pleases. It’s fun, but it’s also annoying, and it gets tiring—especially since he has nothing of interest to say, he is wrong about almost everything he spouts, and he just won’t shut up. In fact, I wish a 10-year old would walk up to him, kick him in the groin, and then taser him when he bends over in pain. And then jab him a couple of more times with that taser while he is writhing on the ground in anguish. Sometimes karma takes too long to balance the scales for the rest of us.
Yes, it’s a long, long time from May to November. How much of the Donald can a civilized society take of this poor little rich kid before we surround his own ostentatious surroundings with tar and feathers, rearrange his goldilocks with them, and shove his fat ass off an Atlantic pier?
The other presumptive nominee is at least quiet. She didn’t seem to ruffle many feathers as secretary of state. Quiet and boring can be good.
I went to Wikipedia to find out how many countries have hired a lady to be their chief executive. The number is close to 100. I could only think of 5 or 6. But there at the top of the list was San Marino, a small principality near the eastern shore of Italy. They’ve had 17, including three who served twice.
I drove up the long road off the beaten path to San Marino about 40 years ago. I can’t remember why except to say I have been there, I guess. I remember seeing only a small post office, and no people. So I did a U turn and left. I decided they probably had no problems with their mail. And that’s something.
And so, quiet, boring, and timely mail are my reasons for giving Hillary the thumbs up. At my age that’s good enough.
