American Economy and Democratic Leadership 6/11/2020 6:45:58 AM
Democratic leadership helping the American family economically. Thank God the Democratic Leaders in the US Congress and Senate worked tirelessly to ensure financial assistance to Americans during this pandemic.
The Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP) to help the American economy was signed into law by Trump, and this initial funding helped some small businesses who got through to the Small Business Administration to partially reopen. Some unemployed Americans received their unemployment checks, and others are still waiting. Many Americans are still awaiting for their stimulus checks in various amounts.
As stated by Democratic Leaders, Federal Reserve and many economists, more funding will be needed to help the millions of Americans who need assistance for re-employment, housing, healthcare, and other expenditures through no fault of their own. I thank Democratic leaders for recognizing the severity of this financial crisis. Recently it has been divulged that our country is now in a recession.
President Trump and Republican Leadership state that no more assistance is needed; what a crock!
If you are one of the 40,000,000 unemployed, or could potentially become unemployed because of State and municipalities greatly taxed budgets, please exercise your rights and contact your elected leaders. You must ask for your justifiable financial rights as an American. The one-percent received their tax break in 2017, and a great majority of the PPP. Republican Senators must pass the package that is now on Mitch McConnell's desk in the US Senate.
Economic justice won't be achieved until all Americans who want a job has a job, and there are benefits for others who deserve them because of an unexpected pandemic and the recently revealed recession information that they had no control over.
