I just remember to come back and comment. I don't recall exactly the circumstances of your life that brought you to this point, but others, by their comments here seem to know much more and I'll grant that to them.

As for me, I wish you well as you approach the precipice with renewed strength and fearless courage. I love living there.

"Being able to say that one is a survivor is an accomplishment. For many, the power is in the name itself. And yet comes a time in the individuation process when the threat or trauma is significantly past. Then is the time to go to the next stage after survivorship, to healing and thriving. ... One can take so much pride in being a survivor that it becomes a hazard to further creative development. ... Once the threat is past, there is a potential trap in calling ourselves by names taken on during the most terrible time of our lives. It creates a mind-set that is potentially limiting. It is not good to base the soul identity solely on the feats and losses and victories of the bad times." (pp.210, 211)

Openly and honestly shared, CT. A trait in you I have come to respect and appreciate. Speaking for myself: I have never been strong enough not to get wounded. Working, sharing, creating with others requires dropping the guards and trusting if its going to work. Sadly people and circumstance, like water, will always find a way to get into even the most tightly protected areas of our lives. Sometimes to bless you, but at times to attempt to kill the good in you, to steal every blessing you've been given, and to destroy whatever good works you've accomplished or are purposing to accomplish.

I had to find a balance between what being open and honest would allow into my heart and what not being open would keep from it. It was a lot more difficult than I thought. Even with wisdom and good choices the journey can be fraught with danger, and the unforeseen, at times. Enduring and navigating the storms taught me to press deeper into the One True Source of life and creation. May your life be showered with wisdom, courage, and fortitude, and may you be blessed with the kind of loving discernment that keeps you from evil.

To have even written this, is tangible proof you are healing and on the good path of retrieval. Someone on this same path will cross your path. It will happen. When it does happen, you make sure to give your talents to this person; a song, a musical note, a poem, a cinnamon stick, a common thread wound around a spool, a skein of yarn, anything that is a touchstone to connect with a like-minded kindred spirit. Because you know what? They have something of value to give to you in return. Happy New Year, dear Christine. Sending you inspiration from every direction just because I need to.
