Summary:	Poetry is alive and still thrives! At King Parish in Detroit, MI.
Details:	We here at Christ the King Catholic Church are celebrating 14 years of poetry. our Valentine Day annual event! Where we celebrate love with poetry, and this years theme is, A Call For Peace! Everything is free. Free program, free food, free admission & free parking in the rear of the church. We have a feature poet, Open Mike, singer, prose, and individual musicians welcomed. Not only is it a cheap and rewarding night out, it is fun! If you never heard poetry read aloud, as the European presenters would day, you are missing at treat! As the elders would say poetry is best appreciated when it is performed. Edgar Allen Poe was graphic in his presentation, he would turn the candle low, as to say dim the room, jump on the table to recite his poetry! He was very intense in his delivery and one of the best at it!Come recite, sing or play your heart out and help us cry aloud, a call for Peace!!!�
