I know it's been a while, but I have finally been able to start posting on the Den again.

I was forced into retirement due to health reasons last fall and am now living in an assisted care facility in Lewistown, IL. Leaving a sportswriting job that I've held for 23 years was heartbreaking to say the least, especially the way it ended. 

I am looking for help in getting some kind of stay-at-home work, especailly if it involces writing (I can only watch so many Matlock reruns) and I am just now looking into some of my options. 

I would also like to start writing again and hanging out here as well.
