Trivandraum College of engineering alumni association has conducted their onam celebration in the Indian club, on 6^th Friday.  The celebrations lasted an entire day with lots of fun, games, and dances, pookkalam competition  followed by a grand “onam sadya.” The event was organized by the committee members for the year 2002-03 for CETAAQ, headed Mr. George Cherian. Mr. Sajan Titty George the vice-chairman, commenced the programs with his, short and warm welcome speech to the invitees, members and family gathered, about as early as about 10 am. Various kinds of games were organized, keeping in mind the diverse age group of the children and games of adults as well. There were a couple of melodious songs, in tune with the onam festivals, composed and coordinated by   Jayakrishnan, one of the active members of the committee. To commemorate the festive occasion, there was a pookkalam competition to which three energetic teams participated. The teams were divided into 3 groups, 2 for the ladies and one team of gents, who gave the ladies a tough fight, they could ever put up with. There were songs sung by the alumni members, which they call as their national anthem. The Ex-chairman and senior members of the alumni distributed the prizes. The onam sadya was with all the frill and fringes, fit for the sadya with consists 18 side dishes or “vibhavam” with 2 sweet dishes as deserts.  The committee  thanked all the members and family, for their ardent participation for the occasion.
