Such a lot has happened since my last Newsletter back in April. I have been successful in having 3 books published; not only the ever popular ALL BAGGED UP which many of you may have read, but also 2 other children’s fantasy books as displayed above. It is a very busy time.
I receive many emails and reviews about ALL BAGGED UP and I’ve spoken recently at some Stoma Care Days which have been very enlightening. I have found that people are enthusiastic about wanting to make the most out of their lives even though they may have felt at first, very limited by having a stoma.

All of my books are now on sale on most major online bookstores. I have also been included on Click here and Click here where I can meet with fellow authors and push the word that life with a stoma is ok. You’re bound to find something exciting on there.
The children’s books are born from the fact that I think that I’ve never really grown up. As a child I used to love space travel, especially Planet Mars when I used to listen with my dad to a series called Journey into Space on the radio. They were great days. I think the plots for the books were born then and I’ve carried them around until I just had to get them down on paper.
One thing that I would like to say is that, even though illness may impede on our everyday life, there is still a way forward. I like what Sir Winston Churchill said when he visited his old school. He said, ‘Never, never, never, never, give up’. Things may seem bad and they may very well be. But keep looking forward. There’s a way through. There is life out there, especially with a bowel condition or a stoma. Many people can testify to that. To do a degree, I’ve been there and so have many others. Dare to believe it!
