A trip to my birthplace once a year gives me energy to move ahead.
I returned from another trip to St. Paul to visit my family on September 1. I try to go back once a year to recharge. I go in late August to visit one of my favorite places in all the world. This would be the Minnesota State Fair. I went twice this year. One time with my sister and cousin on opening day. My brother went too and met up with us several times. We visited our cousin on mom's side at the 4H building where daughter and she were showing their new sheep. It was fun catching up as none of us had seen her in some time.
I wore my N95 mask on the plane both ways and at the fair both times. One can never be too careful. My little sister developed Covid and we had to guarantine from her. This made my trip a bit difficult as friends cancelled our plans. Maybe next year I'll be able to fly and go to crowded places without a mask. My sister recovered and none of the rest of us got the variant. I hope you all had pleasant summer events and stayed Covid free. Maybe next summer none of us will have to mask or quarantine. Tomorrow starts fall with it's fiery colors and pumpkins on the ground. Enjoy!
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
