After years of writing essays, on travel, on culture, on life and on the human condition, I have started to write some poetry. My prose writing has sometimes been described as "poetic"; but I never took a particular interest in either reading or writing poetry. Now that has suddenly changed, a change that I cannot account for, but consider interesting and that leaves me wondering. Why poetry? Why now? I don't know the answer to these questions; but the poems keep coming, perhaps on their own. I will be posting periodically my poems as I write them and welcome comments.
