Escape Through the Wilderness is an adventurous and captivating tale about four teens and an adventure camp located in Idaho. However, things take a turn for the worse after a rafting accident. Now Savi must take the lead as her, Rico, Connor and Jade portray bravery as they fight to survive the woods. With more and more plot twists; the book is never boring, as there is always something exciting happening. Escape Through the Woods starts out with bits of mystery and wonder and gradually escalates into a very exciting story. Savi, Rico, Jade and Connor must overcome their differences in order to survive the haunting wilderness and a mystery killer animal known as Vexel. The book displays the main characters as courageous, brave, selfless and smart. Gary Rodriguez wrote a book about self-discovery and survival. Savi, for example, has a bad limp that is a daily reminder of her now failed Olympic dreams. Savi must now not be the invisible girl, and step up to be the leader of the group during their dangerous trek through the frightening outdoors. If you are looking for a book that differs from all others, I strongly suggest Escape Through the Wilderness. There is everything in this book from adventure, danger, and just a little bit of romance.
