I entered my romatic suspense, The Fire Still Burns, into the contest and passed the first round which consisted of judging the first and last 4 pages.

Now, the entire manuscript will be read & judged. If I pass this round  will receve a 2-year publishing contract with Sapphire Blue Publishing, a brand new e-publisher opening August 2008.

If I win my novel will be published as an e-book and released THIS August during the grand opening!

I almost didn't enter, thinking my first four pages just didn't have enough "grab me" ability to them but I decided what the heck? The deadline and date finalists were announced was super-close and heck, the winners will be announced May 12th so it's not like I'd have to wait anxiousy for eons, wondering if I'd made it or not. 

It was free, as opposed to other writing contests you have to pay $20-$35 for just to have a few pages reviewed and possibily presented to an editor. 

The prize was a publishing contract with a brand new e-pub, and how awesome would it be to be one of a pub's first authors?

My birthstone is the sapphire so the part of me that believes in "signs" was like, oh yeah, gotta do it!

Well, hope for the best for me. I'd love to have TFSB published and out there by this August! Even if Imajinn picks up my paranormal series (I'm still waiting to hear from the editor who has my full manuscript) it'd be a long while before it actually "hits the shelves" so this could be my break !
