The stage was set, the lighting was perfect - not too harsh not too dim, the place was ready for the show. Some people had arrived early and were waiting for the show to begin. It made my heart skip a beat seeing them all agog and geared up for the eventful evening.
I waited a little longer for more people to turn up as the count was a little over a dozen give or take a few here there. As I waited we got acquainted to a lot of people and found out few of them were already published authors of poetry books. Few of them were active bloggers and others were great enthusiasts where reading was concerned.
So then we began the momentous event, which still plays in my mind as though it was yesterday. My mother was anchoring the show, and I applaud her for the grace with which she carried off the introductory statement and the rest of the show wonderfully.

It was an experience, to see people wanting signed copies from me. I made it a point to write something personal and interesting so that it would encourage or praise the person in question.
I learnt a lot more than I gave to the audience on that occasion. The reaction of one man was most encouraging. It is briefly there in the video too.
