Nina Anderson, author of Analyzing Sports Drinks has developed an electrolyte drink without sugar or artificial ingredients that tastes good. Having researched the sports drink market, Ms. Anderson decided nothing was acceptable to her standards.
Most drinks had sugar or artificial sweeteners in them, plus potentially carcinogenic dyes. And they only contained sodium and potassium. The body uses more than just sodium and potassium when we exercise. Therefore, it is necessary to replace those lost minerals. Too few minerals in a drink may not be able to create electrolytes. Too many minerals can actually hamper electrolyte production. Nina chose a proprietary formula containing the 11 trace minerals needed for electrolyte formulation to be included in electroBlast. She added stevia and lemon/lime for taste. The product comes in a liquid individually dispensed electro-pak so you can take it on the road with you.
Ms Anderson is concerned about the growing obesity problem in the US and concocted electroBlast to still offer the "illusion" of sodapop without the calories. Schools and the military have been testing it and reports are that it will be a big hit. Electrolytes have been used in the medical field to support the body, improve heart function, reduce the effects of aging and support proper neural function. The Senate Document #264 identified Americans as being mineral deficient. Many have linked osteoporosis, ADD and arthritis as mineral deficiency illnesses. Some forms of mineral supplements are difficult for the body to assimilate. The electrolyte formulation used in electroBlast is ionic which reportedly has a good success rate of reaching the cells.
