Nina Anderson has been invited to be the "entertainment" for the Ninety-NInes New England Section Meeting in September, 2011 in Mystic, Ct. She will talk on the the subject of her book, Flying Above the Glass Ceiling, discussing the trials and tribulations, disappointments and successes of the women aviation pioneers from the late 1800s to the 1980s.

Nina is a retired corporate pilot and shares her own story of how she preservered to take her place in the cockpit, during a time when female discrimination in the industry was key. She also will relay the emotional stress women pilots endured when faced with being told only men could fly airplanes - the behind the scene stories of the first avitrix and many of the first modern women pilots to be hired by airlines and corporations.
