Texas Film Commission, Office of Governor Rick Perry, Western town locations for film production on permanent sets, oh the politics of a film. The permanent sets are located in the Del Rio area where Dominga Rio of Cuero has a wild mustang scene and Jett Durango has some scenes, and in many other Texas towns that would resemble Montana where Jett Durango is set. Sage Sweetwater's filmmaker, director, producer, and executive producer have been viewing filming locations.

Versatile sets include saloons, churches, brothels, jails, general stores, stables, blacksmith shops, schoolhouses, apothecary, barber shop, stagecoaches, wagons, and other period vehicles, livestock, Texas longhorn cattle, variety of guns, props and set dressing, offering a variety of terrain, nestled among old-growth trees. Main Streets and the interior of each building are decorated with period light fixtures, provisions, stained-glass, wood stoves and antiques.

Several ranches are permanent sets complete with flowing streams, windmills, watertanks, wagon wheels, whiskey kegs and room for expansion with onsite caretakers for film production only. It will be interesting to see what filming locations will be chosen with the Texas Film Commission.
