The letter from The Heritage Foundation does not represent my political views.  I do not wish to share my views in that matter.

 However all Americans appreciate the value of first hand American historical facts as written in 1777-1778 by a Reverend Andrew Eliot which keeps us current on the events of the Revolutionary war.  He also speaks of his pride in marrying a good woman .  He ties his infants to chairs to keep them safe and whips them as he was disciplined in his day. 

The loves, disagreements, affections, travel are depicted in detail  as the Fairfield Conn.  Reverend informs his father-who is also a reverend of the same name living in Boston.

As the narrative unfolds it becomes evident that their association with major Revolutionary figures: Geo. Washinton, John Hancock, etc. , plays a role as an informant for freedom of the states.
