Well, in a process that's rivaled the gestation period of an elephant, I've finally finished and submitted a manuscript for my book, tentatively titled "A View from the Hills." It's a collection of my early newspaper columns along with more recent columns. (I'll have to do another book for the middle years.) Now I just have to wait and see where it goes from here. Needless to say, since this is my first time going the book route, I feel like a virgin on the wedding night (or at least prom night). Keep your fingers crossed, and thanks to all my cyber friends for their support and encouragement.
