Brenda H. Greene''s fiction paperback Dog Gone: Boomer''s Story is making headway into school curriculums. On October 20, 2005, the sixth grade of Otter Creek Middle School in Terre Haute, Indiana, adopted Mrs. Greene''s book which is geared to the 5th-7th grade levels. The school not only gets a class set of books but also a notebook of teacher interdisciplinary activities that go along with this book. Other schools have expressed sincere interest in adopting this new story into their curriculums. This is a work in progress that seems to be headed for good things.
