Although based upon the true story of an actual family who survived the horrors of one of the Second World War's worst concentration camps, Jasenovac, and the murderous brute Petar Brzica a.k.a. the Butcher of Jasenovac who history records as one of the Second World War's worst mass murderers, the events depicted after Brzica's supposed discovered in Australia are entirely fictional and a figment of the author's imagination.

The names of the principal characters in this story have also been changed to protect their privacy. Any intimation of illegality or impropriety attributed to the principle protagonist or other persons named which surround Brzica's ultimate fate are also purely fictional as are the actions of the characters from the point of the alleged emergence of Brzica as a resident of Australia.

It should be noted that history shows that Brzica was never indicted for his war crimes and some how apparently escaped justice. His fate remains a mystery and one can only hope he was ultimately called to account by a Higher Power and assigned to the fires of hell if such a place does indeed exist.
