I think all of us who write to publish can relate to the frustration we feel at times when the doors of more traditional book houses, are slammed rudely in our face. I sent my latest novel to a smaller press (it is not a POD or vanity press) with a query and was basically told "don't let the door hit you in the ass when it closes", and it did.

But I never give up. If I had, FILL MY EYES would never have been published. It took work, many rewrites and crazy deadlines for a publisher that was nothing more than POD. I found an author friendly company (you have to be published and have sold a certain amount of books). It is gamble, but what is life without risks. I might get another bump to match the other on my head, if they too lock the door. But at least they want to see the manuscript. This is a first and a small breakthrough if they deem fit to publish THE BACKSIDE OF YESTERDAY. And if they don't I can always still get it published without the potential of a traditional house. But this novel will be in print one way or the other.

Never give up. I think some of the finest writers we have, are on The Author's Den awaiting the recognition they richly deserve. I have made many friends and am grateful to The Den for the opportunity. Bless you all for your support, kind comments and your friendship.
