For years, my girlfriend Leza and I have been obsessed with finding great cult films. We have been thorough, relentless and eager and have spent substantially more money than we should have on this endeavor, but we found a lot of them. From Freaks, to El Topo to Ichi the Killer, we've made cult canon a part of our daily lives and our relationship. But along the way we began to observe things that were often cultier than cult. There are cult films and there are cult films among cult films, things MST3K passed on, often for good reason, things found in the dollarbin and on Mill Creek box sets. As an underground writer, and an obscure writer among underground writers, I thought about these things a lot and thought about how cool it would be to write about them.

  So, I talked to Leza about it and she said we should go for it, present a blog with a he said/she said perspective on these bizarre gems. But then we decided, we could do more. We could present three perspectives, three voices, three personalities all interacting with the same material and all sharing the visceral, the intellectual and at times the almost scatological reaction to the movies we were seeing.  It would be great.

  I knew there was only one man for this job, and that was my friend and fellow Bizarro author Jordan Krall. Jordan Krall is the kind of guy who laments the lack of a BluRay edition of Messiah of Evil with archival Elisha Cook interviews, the kind of guy who can rattle off Ernest Borgnine's imdb page. I contacted Jordan and he liked the idea, so we got to work. With the help of guest bloggers, we've examined seven movies, two cult classics, two Mill Creek gems and three mainstream films that people throw rocks at when they walk down the street.
