​Darwin Leon was known as the "Cinderella of Art Center South Florid​a" because he worked the front desk there, was one of the finest artists on the premises, taught fine art for the Center, yet could not obtain residency. His frequent denunciation of "anti-art" was problematic. So upset was Darwin with local art politics, especially with Mayor Dermer's Miami Beach CANDO Con, that he left South Florida for good. I am posting my interpretation of his Manifesto in conjunction with the closure of our beloved and indeed controversial Art Center South Florida building at 800 Lincoln Road.
