Newsletter Dated: 2/19/2013 8:39:55 AMSubject: Spring is (kind of) in the air
I was recently interviewed by Caurie Putnam, a columnist for the Democrat and Chronicle (Rochester, NY) to discuss Chimney Bluffs and the theme of loss and grief. Caurie was kind enough to connect me to Christine Green from A Different Path Gallery in Brockport (27 Market St.) Along with being a gallery, studio and shop, A Different Path Gallery also has poetry readings, open mike nights and an author series. She invited me to do a reading on Saturday April 13 (5pm - 7pm). Caurie’s column in the D&C will come out shortly before the reading. Check out the gallery; it is very cool: http://differentpathgallery.com as well as the reading series: https://www.facebook.com/ADifferentPathGalleryFallWinterReadingSeries
Upon the advice of my good friend Barry Jacobs, I have also leaped into the world of virtual book tours, signing on with Pump Up Your Book, which will connect me with bloggers and others during the month of April to do interviews, giveaways, etc. about Chimney Bluffs. My site is up, although no blog sites have been added yet:

I am also starting to schedule readings and book groups for the spring/summer/fall. I will be at the Newark Public Library on Tuesday April 9 (6pm - 7pm). Two book groups have been scheduled with others showing interest. If you know of any group or organization that is looking for an author to do a reading or appear at a book group, please let me know.
In the meantime, I am making good progress with my next novel, More More Time. I am 236 pages and 66,000 words into it. This will be my longest novel, by far. Still have much to do, but am hopeful that I will complete a first draft by late spring.
And there you have it.
Take care,
Dave
