Hi Everyone:

Today I did a book reading for the Hilton Book Guild, which, to my amazement, has been meeting for 71 years (now that's a long meeting!); perhaps the oldest book club in our area.

On Tuesday September 24 (6.30pm) I will be reading from Chimney Bluffs and Charlie No Face at the Palmyra Community Library's "Meet the Author" event. Yes, I am the author that people are going to meet (Stop laughing!).

Then on Wednesday October 9 I will be doing a reading for the Monroe County Retired Teachers Association at the Asbury Methodist Church in Rochester. Wonderful group. Did a reading there last year.

Last week my wife, Bonnie, and I went to a Memorial Art Gallery event at Mary Taylor's sculpture studio. Her work is amazing. If you don't know her, check her out (www.marytaylorsculpture.com). In fact, I have just written a Psychology Today magazine blog about it that I will post in a day or two (http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/going-out-not-knowing)

This is a busy time. I am conducting a wedding this weekend, working on a talk that I will be giving in November, awaiting some feedback on my latest novel (More More Time) which I hope to submit to my publisher in the next two months, and inching forward on beginning the next novel. I have written several pages of ideas. They are starting to congeal, but I am not ready to write anything yet. Usually the start line comes up on me quickly and I know that it is time to write the first sentence and then the first paragraph. Sometimes I stop right there and let it simmer before I go on. We'll see when it comes.
