Newsletter Dated: 7/12/2004 1:27:33 PMSubject: News From Publish America Today, the mailman brought two envelopes from Publish America, containing my advance and information on how my next two books are coming along.
"Dearest of Friends" and "The Friendship Circle" have been edited and formatted. The editor is getting both manuscripts ready to send to me in the form of proof pages.
Once I receive the proof pages for these books, I must read over them carefully, looking for errors in grammar and spelling. I have two weeks and then must turn them back in to the editor.
Publish America goes to work making the changes that I requested and then sends the pages back to me. I must double-check to make sure all the changes have been made - I have 48 hours to look the pages over and send them back to my editor.
Then Publish AMerica sends the polished manuscript over to the printer to create an actual book, while the art department works on a cover.
Publish America's art department is wonderful. I loved the cover for "Hidden Legacy" and can hardly wait to see the covers for soon-to-be released novels, "Dearest of Friends" and "The Friendship Circle".
